Abstract [eng] ABSTRACT. The authors analyse changes in migration processes after the economic crisis of 2008 in Lithuania – the links of economic development and migration fl ows are highlighted focusing on impact of economic recession on labour migration to Lithuania. Based on the official data (provided by the Department of Migration and Territorial Labour Exchanges), the structure of labour migration is analysed – the distribution of migrant workers by nationality, sex and economic sectors is presented. This information is important for understanding migration trends in recent years and for preparing to research work and living conditions of migrant workers in Lithuania. The survey of migrant workers (N = 321) was conducted under the framework of the project Work and living condition of migrant workers in Lithuania, funded by the European Fund for Integration of Third-Country Nationals (project No. EIF/2013/7/04/RM/1). The authors present the methodology of the survey, survey sample and instruments used in the research, discuss challenges in conducting the survey and evaluate reliability of the survey data.
