| Abstract [eng] |
The paper deals with the changes in gross value added and agricultural income per annual working unit in 2005-2009. The results were calculated according to the methodology of economic accounts for agriculture and forestry. Gross value added as one of the most important indicators representing the agricultural sector totalled to 2242.0 mill. Lt in 2009 or was by 12.3% lower than in 2008. According to preliminary Eurostat data, due to lower purchase prices of agricultural products in 2009 as compared to 2008, agricultural income per annual working unit in the EU countries decreased by 11.6% and in Lithuania went down by 16.4%. |
