Abstract [eng] |
Research on women life stories has stressed how feeling of suffering shape the social identity. Shame is related to women's responsibility and is linked to ideas of reputation, honour, deignity, to self-esteem - it is a shame before the other members of community that a person compares her situation with some standards of living; it involves a negative evaluation of the self. Such women feel shame over their appearance or dress, bad living conditions, poverty of children. The development of communities is related with the individualization of the social actors in village, the formation of new types of relations, the activity of the sel-government, and local authorities. |
