Abstract [eng] |
The comparison of competitiveness indicators show that Lithuanian farms, in order to gain competitiveness advantage in the domestic and EU markets, should increase scope and concentration of production, labour productivity introducing advanced technologies. It is important that farms could increase agricultural assets (using borrowed funds), use it efficiently and thus increase quantitative and qualitative production parameters. Besides, it is necessary to strive for an optimal farm size on purpose to use effectively the main industrial means of production, i.e. land, labour and capital. The farms willing to gain a competitive advantage in the EU market should increase production per 1 hectare UAA 1,5-3 times, labour productivity (value of crop production per AWU) 1,5–2 times, agricultural assets per 1 hectare UAA 1,5–3 times, crop yield 1,2–2 times. Dairy farms should increase cattle concentration per hectare 1,6–3 times, the yield of milk per cow by 10–30 per cent and the yield of fodder crops up to 2 times. |
