The article analyses the spread of labour exploitation as well as the role of labour market intermediaries in preventing trafficking of labour in Lithuania,The available information and results from the conducted studies obviously indicate the existence of the problem of trafficking for labour exploitation in Lithuania. However, this problem is not yet clearly apprehended and identified in the general public and, as a result, is actually not reflected in official statistics. As it was mentioned, the issue of trafficking for labour exploitation is actually not related to LMIs. The role of the social partners is not significant in this area too. |
