Abstract [eng] The article deals with the farming results of 1300 family farms. Due to bad weather conditions farming results were significantly worse than in previous years. Output crops declined by 26 per cent, output livestock – by 6 percent. Total output decreased mostly at cereal, oilseed and protein farms. On the contrary, mixed farms were affected less. The share of livestock output (especially milk) in total output increased. Receipts per 1 ha UAA were lower by 8 per cent, compared to 2005. The best results were achieved at farms of horticulture, permanent crops and mixed crop – grazing livestock farms. Costs per 1 ha UAA increased by 5 per cent. It was produced by 14 per cent less output per 1 Litas of inputs. Conventional indicators of gross profit are significantly lower compared to 2005, however, better results, compared to the previous year, were achieved at farms with UAA less than 50 ha, as well as at horticultural, permanent crop, dairy, mixed livestock farms. Due to higher subsidies (sub-sidies per 1 ha UAA for production increased by 35 per cent, for investments – even 2.4 times), family farm income per 1 ha UAA were higher by 10 per cent, investments – by 35 per cent, com-pared to 2005. Similar to 2005, main investments were done for purchasing tractors, equipment. In 2006 farmers also spent more money for agricultural and transportation machinery, farming build-ings. Negative net investments were only at farms of 10–20 ha UAA.
