Abstract [eng] This monograph presents the findings of two research projects that were financed by the Research Council of Lithuania in 2010-2011 and 2013-2015, namely, Scientific Research Ethics in Lithuania: Situation Analysis (MTEtika) and Academic Authorship: Normative Definition and Empirical Reality (AcadAu). The monograph consists of six thematic parts with chapters focusing on different aspects of the themes, the concluding part, description of methodologies of the empirical studies and the annexes. The methodologies of the discussed empirical researches and their findings are presented at the end of this monograph. The data for the two research projects were collected by two questionnaire surveys of Lithuanian academic community (2011 and 2014), interview with members of ethics committees at Lithuanian science institutions (2010-2011) and editorial boards of international scientific journals published by Lithuanian academic institutions (2014), and a series of document analysis that focused on legal regulations of scientific research at national and international level, ethics codes of Lithuanian academic institutions, and requirements for the authors of scientific journals published by Lithuanian academic institutions. In sum, the research strategy combined both qualitative and quantitative approaches and relied on the principles of triangulation in data collection and analysis as well as context analysis. Annexes to the methodological part contain collected data arrays, data collection instruments, primary findings and other information which may be useful for further research in the field.
