| Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this article is to examine distinctive features of labour migration and to present problematic issues in social and economic status of migrant workers. The article highlights connections between increase in labour migration and global economy changes and vulnerability of migrant workers, drawing attention to the research on work conditions and labour relations. The article provides background information and methodological justifi cation for the research “Work and living conditions of migrant workers in Lithuania”, conducted by the team of researchers from the Lithuanian Social Research Centre and the Diversity Development Group. . |
